Dear Reader,
Last week I made the decision to withdraw from ‘An Introduction to Interactive Programming in Python’. I did not make this decision easily, but I believe the decision I made was for the best. On October 3, I received an offer of employment by Manitoba E-Association for the position of Regional Youth Coordinator for Youth Initiative Interns. As this position is full-time, provides management and supervisory experience, provides opportunities for professional development, and allows me to work from home (extremely convenient for our cold Manitoba winters), I simply had to accept. Accepting this position largely contributed to my decision to withdraw from the Python course, because I also had the following events in my schedule for the month of October and early November:
In addition, I have other appointments and yoga classes to attend. All together these commitments would make it a lot more difficult to continue in the Python course and so I decided to reduce my commitments by withdrawing from the course so I could better focus on my other commitments and enjoy less stress over the coming weeks. As a result I would like to apologize to anyone who has been following my Python blogging. I have had a very positive experience in the Python course and I hope to enroll in MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses) again in the future. Cheers!
